generations of skill and talent. Robert, Rodney and Priscilla are of very few in
the state of Virginia, who have been given the honors of Masters and
Craftsman degrees by the Professional Photographers of America
Association. The Goods have designed their Studio with making
Beautiful Portraits in mind, including unique backgrounds. They have the
largest Studio on the East Coast, surrounded by creative and exquisite
landscaping with views of the Blue Ridge and Massanutten Mountains.
With over 50 years experience in the wonderful world of Photography,
the most enjoyable part of their career is watching families grow and being a
part of their most joyous occasions year after year.

Planning For Your Portraits
Hair & Makeup
It is not a good idea to try a new hairstyle right before your portrait session, try your hair styles around a week before your session is scheduled. If you need help we will consult you for free over the phone, or in person. We also offer a hair and makeup service here at our studio for a small fee. Call us for details.
Don't worry about that unsightly pimple that pops up the day before your session date. Any issues you have with your skin (pimples, scars, harsh lines, rashes, tattoos, etc...) that you do not want in your pictures, we can retouch* and eliminate them.
Tan Lines
We will remove* your tan or sunburn lines, as they tend to draw attention away from your face. Let us know if you get a bad sunburn, and we can work out rescheduling your session date.
Braces
Despise those braces? We can paint them away using our retouching* tools, and have them looking how you want them! Some dentists are willing to remove braces for your session, if you allow time to schedule the procedure.
Glasses
We will remove all the normal glare that may reflect from your glasses, but tinted lenses cannot be lightened to expose your eyes better. If you have tinted lenses, or your lenses are very thick, they will distort the way a camera will photograph your eyes. If this case pertains to you, ask your optometrist for a pair of empty frames to use at your photo session. If you have any questions about your glasses, or regarding retouch fees, please contact us.

For your yearbook photo, head & shoulders or other close-up poses, dress in something very simple in color and style.
FAQ
You should try to arrive about 10 minutes early. Your experience will be best if you have more time to hang out, relax, and prepare for your session. Your welcome to look around the studio and get ideas, or just enjoy our gallery with many different beautiful portraits on display.
What will the session be like?
We like to make our portrait sessions as fun as possible! We will be moving you around quite a bit so we can get all those perfect shots, but don't worry, we wont make it too hard for you. Its ok to be a little nervous at first, but the friendly atmosphere here will have you normal and happy in no time.
Can I bring a friend with me?
Yes! We encourage you to bring a friend, or a relative. They will help you feel more relaxed and confident while you are here. We may even allow your friend to be in a couple photos with you as well.
When do I decide what portraits I want to order?
Once we have your previews ready, we will contact you and set up a time for you to come view them. Don't worry... we will explain the process better to you when you come for your portrait session.
Can I order additional portraits later?
Of course. We have our clients photographs all the way back to the 1950's. So any time you need additional pictures, give us a call.
